This is a full size Romanian violin in excellent condition. No cracks or other repairs. It will come with the case and bow shown. This is a very sweet violin. It is completely even across the strings with a warm mellow tone. It plays clearly and easily with no bad notes. This violin is an absolute delight to play. This instrument has a two piece back of poplar wood with medium figure and medium flame and matching sides. … The outline of the instrument is in the Stradivarius style. There are no neck grafts on this viola and the fittings are of ebony. This instrument is in excellent condition with no cracks The market value of this instrument is $10,000.” A bow valued at $520 by Kamimoto is included in the offering price.

The best of years for Heberlein, this instrument is for sale by the grandson of the original owner. It was played in the PGH Symphony for many years. The back is two pieces of wide figured maple.
