A round Pernambuco stick, silver-mounted at 61.2 gm, it produces a rich, clear and strong tone and is great for off-the-string bowing styles. Hi, While cleaning out my fathers estate, we came across a violin and case. I am not a musician, and know nothing about violins. This violin I'm guessing is at least 50 years old, and comes in a violin case with a black label on the inside that says: Lifton Built like a fortress Made in USA. I'm thinking I can send pictures and would like to find out, and sell this item for whatever the "fair market value" is for it.

Everything is in mint condition, the viola hasn't been played or handled in years and was purchased in the mid-late 1980s when I was taking private Viola lessons from a member of the Detroit Symphony (my main instrument at the time was the Violin so I only played the viola ocassionally). The case is like new and also has a front pocket - a well made case with lock and keys included (never used). I've been told it's a high quality case. Also includes a tube for strings and a packet for 'care and feeding' of Rudoulf Doetsch instrument. Also, I just put a new set of high quality Dominant Viola strings. Email for more details.

Gorgeous old violin with dark cherry finish and beautifully flamed front and back. Produces and rich, lustrous tone perfect for a fan of the romantic era! Rosewood and ebony accents. Includes wood bow with horsehair, ebony frog, mother of pearl accents, leather and silver winding. Refurbished it myself, and am asking $500, but am flexible if I do not have enough leads.
