This violin has a strong, clear tone across all strings and in every position. The powerful sound is ideal for all kinds of playing. The G-string has a particularly sweet sound, while remaining strong and clear in the highest positions. This violin has a lovely warmth without sacrificing clarity. These qualities make it very easy to play. The violin is labeled "Bergonzi" but that is a false label, it is German from aprroximately 1780. $2500.00 or best offer

There is some kind of black stamp on the button can not make out what it is. It is a very powerful sounding violin. Nicely flamed wood. $800.00 or best offer
