This is a Strad Model 1718 ,violin made by the well known German maker Ernst Henrich Roth. It has a solid back and it is in excellent condition. The violin was made in 2003. I have here a nice little 1/4 purple student violin. It has only been played once or twice and is in like new condition. It comes with a nice case and bow. This is just an ordinary violin, it's not a name brand. But it plays good and would make a nice starter violin. Price is $50 plus shipping.

I have a lovely 18th century violin that was previously owned by a Violin Professor Emeritus of the University of Hartford. It had been chosen many times by students for Hartt School recitals because of its beautiful, dark tone. Label: Gio Batista de Gabbrielli, fece in Firenze, 1754. Possibly English in origin. Special features: Medium narrow curl on 2 piece back. Head similar curl, plain ribs. Varnish: shaded amber to light brown. Appraised at $3,000 in 1996; $1,100 work done since. Asking $3,500 OBO.
