Poissonnerer, No. 10 (with logo consisting of a double circle enclosing a cross and the letters C, M, with the date 1890, also branded in the peg box Collin-Mezin) Two-piece back with deep, broad, horizontal flame, descending from the joint, the ribs, neck and scroll similar to the back, the two-piece top with a medium grain in the center broadening to a medium-wide at the flanks, the varnish golden. $12,500 or best offer. This violin has a warm yet projecting sound. It is very responsive and worth the time! I am a violist and my violin is looking for a new home.

This violin is similar to the link below but looks just like the picture. It is a Lewis and Son Dancla 15712. A preferred instrument by educators for advancing students. German handcrafted in the Stradivarius pattern, featuring a spruce top with maple back and ribs. Attractively shaded brown-amber spirit varnish finish. Fitted bass bar, inlaid purfling and ebony pegs, tailpiece, fingerboard and German Maple Bridge. Strings are in good condition. Comes with a bow and padded case.
