For beginners or children.My mother bought this violin in 1942 in a NYC music shop.An antique at that time, now over 100 years old.I sent this violin to a voilin expert in Los Angeles for a checkup, tune up and appraisal. He said that it would be worth a minimum of 900.00 USD. Beautiful patina in the wood with a tiger back. Fine full size violin made by Sofia Matuskovits, 2002. Rosewood Hill-style fittings with a Guarneri chinrest. Asking $3,600. Top is crafted of straight-grained spruce, two piece back. This particular instrument possesses a rich, throaty sound and superb construction, which makes it very stable under climatic changes. It is very forgiving and easy to play. It comes with a Bobelock lightweight oblong case with matching blanket, hygrometer string tube and case strap. Photos available.

Excellent violin - $700 Janurius Gaglianus? label, no date but possibly pre-1900. Repair label from 1931. Has a couple of repaired top cracks and a grafted pegbox/scroll. This warhorse has a character all it's own with a tone to match. An excellent instrument that will cut through any jam session. Recently set up and has new Helicore strings. Pictures available.
