Antique violin, no label. Just had a verbal appraise, the possible maker is Klotz, Georg(2), made about the year 1780-90. Good condition(compare its age), some cracks, but repaired well. Very nice tone, easy to play. Ask for $2500. Pictures are available. Tomorrowbt@hotmail.com

Lyon&Healy Eureka Violin 1912 #1013.Blocked and fully lined.Back is tight grained and highly figured tiger maple with no issues.Top is spruce with minimal cracks that have been well repaired.Finish has flaked with the grain slightly.Neck is newly planed and straight with good arch,bridge is of good height,pegs are new and expertly fitted,new tailpiece and chinrest of ebony.Worthy of daily play,sound quality excellent.Bow 1 marked Lyon&Healy Germany,Pernambuco 56grms silver-mounted ebony frog stick has repairs still plays well.Bow 2 new pernambuco pearl eye abalone inlays in ebony frog 58grms. Full-size violin in a red varnish; this is an easy instrument to play and has a fabulous tone with resonance throughout the scales and fine, bell-like overtones. The top is of fine, straight-grained spruce tight near the center seam and broadening toward the flanks. The one-piece back, ribs and neck are of highly figured maple with ripples of light throughout the wood. And it has the beautiful fancy purfling! The new fittings are of unadorned boxwood so as not to detract from the beauty of the wood in this fiddle. Signed and dated in ink; it is one of his best violins. Played by a pro and in perfect condition. $1500.
