A mid 20th century Italian Violin. The back is one peice of quater cut maple with tight curl ascending from the left to the right. The neck and head match the back. The ribs are of a slightly less uniform figure. The table is fine grained spruce of a very regular grain. The varnish is a deep brownish red. Inside, the violin bears the following brands: "Manfredi Francesco Formigini (Modena) 1955" "MF" Handwritten across the brands are the makers signature and the signature "A. Giovanni". I have a violin that reads on the inside Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1721 on the inside. The outside is good condition with no cracks just some wear for how hold this violin is. This Octagonal Pernambuco Bow is a very nice bow with sterling silver winding and a leather grip. It is a mediun to strong with very nice tone. I find it to strong for my playing, would be good for firm strings. I paid $300 for it will sell for $100.

1926 full size German violin in good shape, with some cosmetic problems due to heat damage of years in an attic. It is fully restored, new bridge,etc. I have played it 6 months to make sure it is stable, it is and the tone gets sweeter everyday.
