Sousa Violin Bow Special Frog <labradabrador@hotmail.com> - Mechanicsburg, PA USA - http://www.stanhopemicroworks.com/u... - Thursday, March 02, 2006
One of a kind. Beautiful 4/4 violin bow made in Brazil by C Sousa. In perfect and straight condition. This is a very rare bow. It is from Sousa's Virtuoso Series. The stick of the bow is a fine deep reddish brown color pernambuco with slight figure or curl. The frog is ebony and to add to its uniqueness there is a small lens in the frog where you normally find a paris eye in the middle of the frog. If you look very closely into the lens you can see Ole Bull inside! He's perfectly clear and ghostly looking. It's about the coolest thing I've ever seen in a bow. Asking $500.00 USD. Paypal only. Email for info
SOLD! The TOURTE bow <stevebulmer@gmail.com> - Surrey, BC Canada - Wednesday, March 01, 2006
This bow is identified by the engraving TOURTE on the base just above the frog. The shaft is of pernambuco wood and has an octagonal shape. The frog and pin are in excellent working condition with little or no wear as is the leather wrapping above the frog. In pictures you can see the frog has XXI engraved on the top where it interfaces with the shaft. It is very clear but I do not know what significance this might have to the history of the bow. The bow was cleaned and polished by our Luthiery. He replaced the horse hair as well. Pictures and more info are available upon request via e-mial. Appraised value is $750.00
SOLD! Antonio Stradivarius Cremonenfis, Ficiebat An <stevebulmer@gmail.com> - Surrey, BC Canada - Wednesday, March 01, 2006
This is described as a "Strad copy" violin made in a cottage factory before the 20th century. The violin has been professionally reconditioned and appraised by the premier Luthiery in the area, Geza Burghardt of Granville Island. This is an excellent violin with nice sound for the improving student who needs a nice instrument to learn on or for someone who can just enjoy playing a nice instrument for the pleasure that it gives. The finish is beautiful and you can be proud to show off the one piece back. Pictures and added information are abailable upon request via e-mail. Appraised value is $2000

Anyone watching NYPD will see and hear his music at the end credits. Russian American violinist Jascha Heifetz is considered the greatest violinist of all time.
