Jacobus Stainer Violin <dkdrury52@netscape.net> - Paducah, Ky USA - Sunday, April 23, 2006
First of all I don't know anything about violins. If you look inside you can see a piece of paper that says Copy of Jacobus Stainer made in Germany. On the back of the body of the violin I think it says Stainer and at the neck I think that's what you call it, it has stamped on it Conservatory Violin. The violin looks to me to be in perfect shape. The case looks just old to me not really worn only a little around the edges and the latches are a bit rusty. The two bows that come with it looks good one has the horse hair coming off, and the other has a few of the hair coming off. If you would like pictures send me your email address.

Beautiful Maple Wood on Blond Violin <stevebulmer@gmail.com> - Surrey, BC Canada - Wednesday, April 19, 2006
This violin has a very bold grain to the two piece back and sides. In addition to its presence it has a very nice sound. It has a tone and resonance that is beyond what it is priced at ($2500). It was probably made in a cottage factory around the turn of the century. It has Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis Faciebat Anno 17 on the inside at the F-hole. At the top of the scroll it has Artist Violin Stradivarius engraved. Pics and more info are available upon request. For payment I strongly prefer Paypal. I do take checks but will never release the violin until checks have cleared which slows closing any deal that way.
