This violin is highly rated from elite orchetral players and soloists as a wonderful advanced, student, performance violin. it is "new", as of 2001, being made, however, with old wood, and a great italian varnish technique. this has nice overtones, and is fairly light in weight. one piece back. very nice set up. it is not how it looks, {it looks wonderful}, it is how it sounds. this will smoke a scott cao or a gliga, or any polish, czech, or modern american violin. there is no comparison, you have a real instument here, which will only get better w/playing. email for photos, details, thanks so much, delaine.
