I have a violin that was consigned to me to sell. The label simply states 'made in Dresden' and is a copy of a stradivari pattern. On the back of scroll, there is a plate that reads Conservatory Violin. The fittings are all ebony and I have installed new ebony pegs as well as a bridge and Zyex strings. The violin has a very attractive two piece highly flamed back. The violin was made in East GErmany and it is worth anywhere from $700. to $900. We are asking $700. This is a beautiful Karl Knilling 10K violin. It has some nice flaming on the back. It has a good tone and is easy to play. It has a warm mellow tone, but it will also get louder as you bow harder. It is even across the strings and would make an intermediate student happy. It sells for around $1,000 new. I'm selling for $350.00 firm. It will come with a bow and case. Beautiful student violin. Bow has recently been rehaired. Has dominant strings. Case is in horrible shape from taking to school everyday for 4 years. Loved this instrument as a student, I don't know if it was the violin but was often 1st chair in second violin section soon after I bought this instrument. I have ABOUT 50 pieces of sheet music for mainly 2nd violin but some 1st positions are in their as well.Asking $225 for rehaired bow, 3/4 Dominant strung violin, rosin, sheet music and bad case.

I am looking for a 4/4 cello for my daughter. It's hard bringing the cello that she uses at school home for practice. Have been looking for a long time. Am not sure if she will be doing this very long, so do not want to spend over $400.00 or so. But need a "MENC" certified cello, as that what the school wants. She plays wonderfully and is 1st chair!.
