This is a really nice full size violin. It is very well made with beautiful flames and it has a good tone. This violin would be good for a student player that is around the intermediate level, or for a beginner who wants to start out with a nicer violin. Wanted used, good-sounding, seasoned 4/4 violins for a couple of 10-yr olds. Preferably intermediate level, good student a possibility too. We like violins with character, especially since we have limited funds! Hope to find a few for $100 or so each or best deal? Don't play too well so decent sounding violin helps. May be able to afford a little more depending on violin? Working up an act for grandparents home.

This is a fine violin bow (59.5 g) by the American Godfather of bowmaking, Willaim Salchow. This bow was made in 1965, only a few years after he returned from studying bow making in France. This well aged bow plays and sounds like a fine French bow. It draws a smooth tone with lots of character. The sale is complete with a photo certificate and insurance appraisal from Mr. Salchow. The bow is currently valued at $4000. Feel free to contact Bill or his grandson, Issac, to veritify the authenticity. My asking price is $3500 and slightly negotiable. I'd be happy to arrange for trial through mail or in person.
