Beautiful,full-size model with no cracks or repairs. NOT a scratched-up student instrument, this one belonged to a professional musician. It has fine, red over amber varnish. Extremely powerful, clear, moderately bright tone. You will be heard with this one! Has Juzek label marked "made in Germany," but looks & sounds better than most of the Prague Juzeks I have seen. It's both stamped and hand-written inside: "Andrew Schroetter Geigenbaumeister in Mittenwald / Bayern Modell No. 420 4/4 No. 18984 Jahr 5/90" My grandparents bought this instrument for me in the early 1990s in Syracuse, NY. Since then I have moved on to a concert violin and have not played this instrument in probably ten years. The instrument has a beautiful varnish and served me well in my younger days. It does have some gouges along its seems, but nothing tragic that would ruin the instrument altogether, ie. no holes where they shouldn't be. $400
