I have an intermediate to advanced cello that is in very good, near perfect condition.A Scherl & Roth, model F419 from 1980 size 4/4. The bridge is hand carved by John Charles Haim in South Carolina - he works on many of the South Carolina School of Music & Philharmonic instruments. The bow is a an Erich Steiner - wood and in good condition (I do believe that it does need to be re-strung). The bow itself is spotless. The cello has a good rich full sound (with Jargar strings.Will email photos.

H. Prell was born in 1875. Studied bow making with H.Hoyer, Prell later worked for E. Sartory in Paris. In 1898 he established in Markneukirchen and was admired by his contemporaries for the beauty of design, and perfect balance of his bows. The stick is octagonal of chocolate brown shade – very straight, very strong and well balanced. The bow is 74.9 cm long and weighs 68.3 grams. The frog appears to be silver mounted with all parts original. The bow is in perfect condition. Price is $500.00 (ask for pics)

Near-pristine condition. This violin was purchased new in 1975, with the intent to take lessons, and I never did. The only use it has had over the years is me taking it out once every five years or so and fooling with it. Otherwise, it has been cased and stored in heated / air-conditioned atmosphere. Missing one string. Comes with hard case and bow. Intact paper label on interior reads: Reg. # S5576, 4/4 Model 301/c 8/75. 2nd intact paper label on interior reads: "E. R. French violin bow by Lois Morizot Pere is made for Emile Boulangeot around 1930. It was common to stamp bows with the name of the employer. The bow is certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.Lois Morizot known as ‘’Le Pere’’ was born in 1874 and served his apprenticeship with Cuniot - Hury, C.N. Bazin and E. Sartory. In 1924, at the EXPOSITION ARTISANALE in Paris, he won the Grand Prix for the "best workman of France", and a Gold medal in 1927. The bow is made of nice pernambuco wood, round in shape, and is original in all parts. Asking $2800.00

This is a certified Fine French violin bow made by the great School of Bazin around 1920. The bow is made for Paul Jombar (1868-1936). It is stamped PAUL JOMBAR,PARIS and is in fine condition, as it is stated in the Certificate issued by J.F. Raffin in Paris. The bow is made of the finest quality pernambuco wood and is nickel mounted. It is well balanced, stays great on the string, draws a beautiful, rich sound and plays very good "spiccato," "ricochet," and "sotille." It weighs 63.5 grams.
