Gagliano copy violin German made circa 1935-40.Two piece 1/4 cut maple back. Excellent sound. 2 piece top made from 1/4 cut spruce w/ medium grain. The red brown varnish is on a tan ground. Instrument bears name: Johannes Brueckner, Markneukirchen, CA, 1925. Violin appraised 6-28-01 for $5000. Will entertain serious offers only. I am making a large Installation Painting/Sculpure. I need 2 very very very used cellos. It is their frames, their size, and overall look that matters. I love the cello, listen to it daily, and want to make a Piece using the two cellos buried ino a wall surface, cut into and out, gutted so speak, strings let free, but in the end turned back in somber deep beauty: visual. A work which will respect the cello through interpretation. I cannot spend alot. Thus, the worse the shape, the better, so long as all parts are still there. Contact me with an offer.
