Seeking 16", quality viola, used. Prefer German, French or Italian. Intermediate to Advanced use. No cracks please. Price range (around $400). May or may not include bow and case. This is a nice student quality full size violin in very good shape. No cracks, just the usual wear that comes from use. The label inside says that it is a Hermann Beyer violin made in Hungary, 1998. It has nice flaming on the back, as well as the neck and scroll. The violin's voice is more on the quiet side and has a sweet tone. It is easy to play and it would be good for a beginner or intermediate player. I'm selling the violin with a bow and oblong case for $300, and I have just recently put new strings on it. An American 4/4 violin by Henry Lloyd Mitchell, USA, 1956. Excellent condition and set up with premiun custom made bridge and Evah Pirazzi strings. The finish on this instrument is a dark, fiery red varnish. The Back is one piece with striking striped wood markings extending across the entire back.The top is very narrow grained. The varnish has a crackled quality like some older instruments. I am told that this is a unique quality of some varnishing procedures. The sound is sweet with very good projection.
