Very light wood, thin, arched, sounding excellent - unlike a lot of the 'flat' Roths I have seen. Beautiful condition with minimal wear for age. Has both oval EHR stamp and paper label. Beautiful handmade violin signed by the maker inside. Maker of violin won the 1987 Gold metal in Violin Making Competition. The scroll is a Lion head. The purfling is inlaid mother of pearl with design. The back is one piece birds eye maple and the front is spruce. The pegs, tail piece,and end pin are made of some rare wood. It has a custom cut bridge and pegs. The sound is sweet and rich. I am a professional violinist and I have never see a piece of art like this!
