100 year old Czech Stainer Copy <griffcorp@hotmail.com> - Nashville, TN USA - Monday, August 23, 2004

I have a 100 year old Czech copy of a Stainer in great condition. It's been recently set up, rosewood fingerboard and tail piece, ebony tuners and chinrest, comes with bow and very old wooden case. The neck has been professionally reset. The guy who set it up immediately made me an offer. I'm a beginner and don't know anything about it but do know that it's much better than the chinese (VSO's) violins currently being offered on the internet. $350 or best offer, buyer pays shipping. All sales final, Continental U.S. and Canada only, money orders only. I have pics, email griffcorp@hotmail.com.

Italian violin for pro or serious student <sasomers@communitynet.org> - Okanogan, WA USA - Friday, August 20, 2004

I am selling my Leonardo Genaro violin from the 1920s. It has a very lyrical and graceful sound that is also very strong and vibrant, especially in the lower registers. I am asking $6250 for it as well as the bow. Both the violin and the bow were bought from Kenneth Warren and Sons in Chicago. I don't know their exact purchase price, but the violin was between 6 and 7 thousand, and the bow between 6 and 9 hundred. It is very graceful & "friendly" to play, if that makes sense. If you are seriously interested, please e-mail me with questions or for photos. Case (worn), rosin and extra set of strings included. You pay shipping.
Stradivarious Copy, made in 1800's <amanda.dawn@gmail.com> - Peace River, AB Canada - Thursday, August 19, 2004

This is a full sized violin, the label reads "Antonius Straduarious Cremona, Faciebat Anno" and is dated 1724. This is a copy of a Stradivarious which was made in the 1800's. It is in very good condition and has been treasured for years. I have been playing this violin for 14 years including in orchestras and competitions, and have yet to come across an instrument with a more beautiful sound. Unfortunately I have developed physical problems and am no longer able to play, and would like it to go to someone who will use it. For pictures or to bid, email amanda.dawn@gmail.com

Copy of a Guarnerius King Joseph violin, great condition, Dennis English of English Violins & Bows (and California State Fiddle Champion) believes this violin was made in the 1920 probably in Mittenwald Germany. He says it's a exquisite example of a slow drying finish which has dried very well. Comes with a French bow made by Emile Dupree, a hard shell case, extra bridge and tailpiece and more. Asking $5700. Photos available upon request. I have an excellent eBay rating of 289 so you can deal with confidence.
