I found this violin by accident and it was the most amazing find of my life! There are no markings to identify the maker but it highly resembles a Petrus Guarnerius.a name I recieved from an appraiser a couple years ago. This violin is dark in color with an extremely deep and rich tone when played! The tone rings on for longer than I can hold my breath! A very beautiful sound! This is a well made Romanian violin that is in excellent condition. It has a nice sweet even tone, all of the notes are clear and easy to play. I think it would be an excellent violin for the beginner to intermediate player. Made: 2/4/97 Model: 500E4 Purchased: $1867 in '97 Asking $900 OBO This Antonius Stradivarius design by Scherl and Roth is a very nice intermediate/advanced student instrument with a strong & rich bass, even sound throughout its range & plays easily. Has a minor 3mm varnish scratch on the inside curve of an "F" hole, doesn't affect the wood. 4/4 size, Laminated spruce top, laminated maple back and sides, ebony trim, steel strings with adjusters, adjustable end pin, bow, nylon case. And I'll also include end pin rest, rosin, and a mute. This poor instrument needs an owner that has time to enjoy it!
