Nice antique fullsize Conservatory violin. Good condition. A 2" sealed and patched crack covered by the chinrest presents no problems at all. Marks on the neck are not damage but a character of the wood. Scuffing and pitting to the finish commensurate with age. Amber varnish on golden ground. Pics on request. Good tone and volume. Beautiful antigue finish Gliga violin. Made in 2002, this violin has been played frequently by an intermediate student. Includes case and bow. TOP - Solid Carpathian resonance spruce top; Back sides and neck,Solid Carpathian flamed maple; oil varnish; Inlaid purfling; two-piece back. Wooden Bow is in need of some repair. BERG "Ebony" model violin bow in mint condition. Stamped "Berg." This bow plays extremely well -- great balance and weight (61.3 grams). It is mounted with a traditional ebony wood frog, sterling silver, a Parisian eye, and a three piece button. I am the original and only owner of this bow, and I ordered it directly from the maker a few years ago. I enjoy playing with this bow, but I am selling it because I need the money to buy a new violin. The total length is 23 1/4, body 14, low bout 8, and upper 6 1/2 inches, respectively. It has a new set of Pirastro Tonica string, a new pernambuco full-mounted horsehair bow, and an oblong suspension case. The sound is mature, open, sweet, and ringing across all strings.
