220+ year old Violin made in Austria circa 1780's.Certified and sold by Lyon & Healy in Chicago on November 27th, 1941.The certificate states: "The model is flat, Original Scroll. The top is Spruce of Fine Grain and of the Choicest Quality for Tone. The back is of two pieces of maple. The varnish is of a brownish color shaded. The instrument is in good condition and is number 7367 in our records." From what I have been told, Lyon and Healy has a great reputation and only sold fine instuments, Pics Available, a STEAL at $1500.00.
