It features a beautifully grained spruce top, with the back and ribs made of heavily flamed maple wood. It has a lovely matte reddish varnish, typical of instruments made in Bubenreuth. The fingerboard, end button and pegs are ebony wood, and it's set up with new Dominant strings, and an original Wittner tail piece w/ fine tuners. It has a rich, refined tone--unlike anything else you'll find for under $3000, and is a highly recommended instrument by a reputable German violinmaker. See picture.
